Rare 16th-century Lyons edition of the Historia Ecclesiastica, also known as The History of the Church, a 4th-century chronological account of the development of Early Christianity from the 1st century to the 4th century, composed by Eusebius, the bishop of Caesarea. Published by Benoit Bonyn for Jacopo and Francesco Giunta in 1533. Dedicatory epsitle by G. Boussard to Étienne Poncher.

CONDITION: Very good condition, collated complete, later endpapers, title page with marginal tear, occasional ink smudging and other minor stains, some wrinkling, chips & marginal tears, water stain of pages at bottom margin starting from f. xlvi until end of the book, stain at page edge starting from f. lxxxi and that gets larger until end. Binding tight, with some discolouration to the vellum. Last leaf with several marginal tears and chips.
