DESCRIPTION: 

After the occultist, Etteilla's designs, the Grand Etteilla by Grimaud is considered a Type I style. Etteilla was the pseudonym of Jean-Baptiste Alliette. His designs are considered to be one of the first tarots created specifically for cartomancy.

  • Colours: chromolithograph
  • Borders: single black-line
  • Reverses: blue pattern of swirls
  • Paper: pasteboard card-stock
  • Corners: square (rounded through use)

    CONDITION: Good condition. incomplete 77/78 cards (lacking #47); with signs of wear & soiling from use, age darkenng, some occasional stains & surface scuffing, and worn corners and edges.  (see photographs)
